Tree Planting!
On Wednesday 25th of January, 5th Class got the opportunity to go Tree Planting. This initiative was led by the lovely Meabh who is working with the two other schools on the campus- Educate Together and Gaelscoil to plant 200 Trees in our woodland area. The children will return another day with Maeve for the mulching! The children really enjoyed themselves and learned all about different types of trees! They look forward to seeing them grow over the next year! Well done 5th Class!
Cumann na mBunscol Girls Final!
On Thursday the 10th of November, the 5th and 6th Class girls headed up to O Moore Park to play the Roinn 4 Girls Cumann na mBuncol Final. The girls played exceptionally well and they should be very proud of themselves! We all enjoyed a Pizza Party in school sponsored by one of the parents in the school- Graham Peavoy. The children were so excited to show their medals for their participation! Well done to all the boys and girls in 5th and 6th Class for their participation in Cumann na mBunscol this year. We are so proud of them and we look forward to next year already! Well done girls on reaching the final! Check out some memorable photos of the day below! Cumann na mBunscol Boys Team
The Cumann na mBunscol boys’ team did extremely well this year. They progressed to the semi-finals of the shield. Unfortunately, they were defeated in the Centre of Excellence by a very deserving team. We are so proud of them and wish the girls team good luck in their final. Thank you to the parents, Christine and Ms Handcock for taking them to matches and coaching them!! Good luck girls!!
Rugby Blitz!
On the 17th of October 5th and 6th Class were invited up to the RFC for a Rugby Blitz. The children played various other teams are really enjoyed themselves. It was a great day out for all! Well done 5th and 6th Class and all your sporting achievements so far this year!
Cumann na mBunscol Girls Team

6th Class FUN DAY!
On Friday 13th of May- 6th Class organised a FUN DAY to raise money for their graduation hoodies. They organised a nail/hair salon, ice cream shop, art studio, cake sale, raffle, guess the sweets in the jar and guess how many balloons was in the electric car!!!! The event was a HUGE success and their hoodies are on the way!!! We are so proud of the 6th Class pupils for organising this event. We certainly have some entrepreneurs here in Maryborough NS. A HUGE thank you to all the parents in the school for your support and donations. It made the day as successful as it was! Well done 6th Class!
The girls win the Cumann na mBunscol final!!!
The 27th of April was a day in history in Maryborough NS. The 5th and 6th Class girls won the Cumann na mBunscol final in O Moore Park. The girls played exceptionally well and showed off their GAA skills and excellent team work skills. Megan Adams- captain of the team lifted the cup for us all to celebrate! 1st to 6th Class wore their blue and white and came to support the team! Well done girls. We are so proud of you all!
Cumann na mBunscol Girls Team 2022
5th and 6th Class girls team have participated very well in their league against various other schools around the county. They have come out on top of their league Division 3a and will commence to the next stage of the competition. We are so proud of the girls success and we wish them the very best of luck in the next stage!!

Cumann na mBunscol Boys Team 2022
5th and 6th Class have been participating in Cumann na mBunscol 2022 in GAA Football against various other Primary Schools around the county.
The boys participated extremely well in the league and they really enjoyed themselves. Well done to the 5th and 6th Class Boys Team. Maryborough is very proud of you all!

Why not have a Hot Chocolate afternoon for a Christmas Treat?
5th and 6th Class have worked extremely hard in Term 2. On Wednesday the 8th of December, they were rewarded with a Hot Chocolate and Games afternoon. They loved sipping on their hot drink while playing games within their pods! Well done 5th and 6th Class on a brilliant Term 2 in school. It was a Christmas Treat well-earned!
