School News –December 2022
Everyone loves December in school! A HUGE thank you to the Parish once again for donating funds towards the resources in our school. The staff and children are extremely appreciative.
This month is an exciting month in school. We hope to have our School Christmas Concert on Sunday the 4th of December. This concert is to celebrate the school being open 125 years! We will have lots of instruments, singing and performances by all of the children on the night so you are in for a real treat! All families, friends and past pupils of Maryborough NS are welcome! Tickets will be available to buy in the school after mid-term break. Times and further details about the concert will be announced shortly! Watch this space…..
The children are getting into the Christmas Spirit by completing lots of Christmas art and enjoying Christmas stories and writing throughout the month of December.
We would like to thank all the families that donated a shoebox to the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. It is much appreciated and these small gifts will go a long way.
3rd to 6th Class have been very busy learning Christmas songs to play on their tin whistles. They are preparing for the Christmas Concert while entertaining their families at home too!
We look forward to attending the beautiful Christmas Candlelight Carol Service on Sunday the 18th of December. This is a special service and we are delighted to be part of it again this year.
Christmas Time is known for spending time with our families and close friends. However, it is the most important part of the year to be grateful and thankful for all that we have and are so fortunate to have. We ask everyone to take a moment over the Christmas break to give thanks.
We wish all the wonderful familes and friends of Maryborough NS a safe, healthy and wonderful Christmas and New Year. We look forward to seeing you all back in January for a new term!
